You may ask how you can brand your company in a way that will make you a leader in your market.  Well the answers may surprise you.

  1. Make a product or service that is the best on the market.  There is no better way to push a brand then to simple be better than what is on the market.  This is effective, but there is more that can make your business stand out.
  2. Marketing your products in ways that best reach market you want to dominant.
  3. Make your brand into something more by creating a unique selling proposition (USP) or a slogan.  The USP must highlight the important aspects of your business, while also appealing to the human emotions.  Example My company Pcodia Media uses “Marketing That Takes You Where You Want To Go…  Are You There Yet?”  This USP can relate to anyone who is trying to make it some where better, in my company’s case it would be creating higher revenues for companies.  Yours may be different, but the same idea applies.
  4. Showing the advantages there are to using your product or service above a competitor.  Apple is great at doing this through their commercials, look at the ad below.

A successful branding strategy should always make a company into something more than just another company.  Apple=Innovation, State Farm=Reliability, and Google=Easy of Use.

What is your business’s USP?  Feel free in leave a comment detailing your (USP) Slogan.

What would you change in this AD if you were the producer?

Moving Foward…Marketing Right

In business timing is everything.  You have to have the right product or service available at the right time at the right place.  This is one of the hardest parts of marketing, because if you begin to market a product too early you risk the possibility of over hyping a product causing customers to lose interest or if you don’t market enough this can cause customers to be unaware of your product.

For instance a while back a major motion picture was coming out during the summer, but the movie studio began marketing the a least 6-8 months earlier which is usaully normal for some films.  The problem was that marketing campaign was too big too early.  I felt like the film had already come out and I had missed the release, to my surprise the movie came out months later.

IMPLEMENTING THE THREE R’S

When coming to the conclusion that I need to offer a new service such as PR solutions for instance I always go over the three R’s in my head.  Is this the right service at the right time and can it be marketed in the right place.

”Great plans mean nothing without great implementation”

What examples do you see of marketing mistakes coming from businesses not implementing proper marketing strategies?
